Last night I graduated from puppy class and received my diploma!
I’ve been learning a lot and now I’m a S.T.A.R.!
S.T.A.R. stands for Socialization, Training, Activity, Responsibility.
Some of these things are more Kat’s job than mine. She has to keep me healthy, take me to class,
clean up my messes, get me a bone tag for my collar that says Topaz.
Some things I have to do. I have to let people pet me. (I love people pats!) I have to be able to walk on a leash, sit and go down when Kat tells me, I don’t have to be able to sit like a bullfrog, but sometimes I just like to anyway.
I also have to let Kat help me get dressed in my harness, not be mean to the other dogs or people, let Kat hug me.
I did pretty well with everything! Kat says I will need to keep working on all my skills and there is still lots more to learn. But for now I’m happy to be a puppy STAR!
My next class is called Basic 101 and it begins in July. Kat said we will review all the things we’ve been doing between now and then and continue to work hard!
That’s ok with me as long as I can squeeze some naps in, too!
